I love this thing! I have never had a knee injury after years of squatting, but I decided to use these as a precautionary measure since I’m regularly repping quite heavy (for me) now on squats/deadlifts. This product provides a little support, but not so much that it creates a noticeable “spring” or lift-assistance. It may help me when I do a set of 20 squats, but on weights for which I only do 8 or fewer reps, I see no increase in performance; only an increase in comfort.What I DO notice is that my knees no longer feels fatigued after really heavy lifts or after long training sessions. The sleeves effectively keep the joints warm and better optimizes blood flow (or so, I gather). They also afford a little stability to avoid/minimize deviation of the position of the knee. The sleeve is not tight, but it WILL tear at your leg hair unless you shave it, trim it, or use powder.I used to feel discouraged from really heavy lifts and long lifting sessions…but no longer.
