Seems to be nothing wrong with the actual product. The problem is mainly that the picture shown here, has the blades mounted incorrectly. They are backwards/on the wrong side, and facing the wrong direction. I bought a used 6 inch version. And the person who sold it, had the blades mounted in the incorrect direction. You also need to watch a few quick videos about adjusting the pitch of the blades and sharpening or replacing blades. (Which is easy other than the sharpening requires some practice and understanding of blade types) I can’t speak for how the blades come new, as my used one, needed some touching up of the edge, but not much. Being used, mine also didn’t come with a blade cover or foam float. No complaints as I got it for less money and the foam float is a pool noodle, and I made a blade cover with a block of wood that keeps the whole thing standing on its own. They want crazy money for a blade cover on here. And blades! Blades you might as well buy a new auger. Better to learn to sharpen them.
